Shiva Subbarayn

Shiva Subbarayan

Shiva Subbaryan graduated in 1995 with a degree in Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the College of Physiotherapy, S.R.I.P.M.S., Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, India. He is board certified in Physical Therapy.

Shiva has worked in various settings including skilled nursing facilities, home healthcare, and outpatient rehabilitation facilities. He has worked in Michigan, having offices in West Branch and Hale, since 1997. Founded in 2003, Progress Physical Therapy has grown to be a patient-centered and compassionate place for all your rehabilitation needs.

Shiva has more than 18 years of experience as a physical therapist. He resides in West Branch with his wife and three daughters.

Marena Zawacki PTA

Marena graduated from Mid Michigan College with her associates in applied science for Physical Therapist Assistant in 2015. She began her professional career in the home care setting, but soon after settled in with what she loves most, outpatient rehabilitation.

Marena joined the Progress Physical Therapy team in September 2015. She enjoys the small town, welcoming environment that is offered here. She enjoys working with a variety of patients and diagnoses and making therapy a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone.

In her free time, Marena enjoys camping, crafting, and spending time with her kids and family.

Michael Chimienti PTA

Mike is a Physical Therapist Assistant who grew up near the metro detroit area and has been living near Hale Mi since 2022. Mike has been visiting the Hale and Tawas areas for years with family and had decided to make the move to upper Michigan! Mike graduated from Henry Ford College in 2014 and has been a licensed PTA in the state of Michigan for 10 years and counting. Mike has worked in skilled nursing, home care as well as Outpatient settings. Mike's hobbies include fishing, music and entertaining and spending time with his wife and family.
